I keep thinking of Nixon and how he knew that if he did not resign it would divide the country. Now we see why Nixon was patriotic enough to step down.
This trial will not bring forth action from republicans they are all hiding under the bed

And this BS coming from the Dems about he end of Democracy, well it's a Republic to start with and the Democrat democracy deserve and end.
Forgive me Jinx, but I would like to add that there has never been a true democracy in history that has not lapsed into mob rule and failed spectacularly.

Agreed. Always thought that.

It's kind of like why people would go to Gregory House - on "House". Someone might say "why on Earth do you go to a doctor who's rude, blunt, doesn't give a rat's ass about your feelings and everyone who works for him hates him?". And the answer is always the same - because he's the best.

The reason why I am still voting for him is that - and another thing. See, the Dems got to slap a label on him - if only for a short time - of "convicted felon" - because after massively stacking the deck against him, and a little legal legerdemain they were somehow able to concoct a felony out of some legal records and parlor tricks. But he's still the same man.

When you find out some teacher, bigwig, corporate giant or politician has child porn or taken bribes or extorted money or corrupted government agencies and broken the law on an obscene scale - it does tarnish your faith in them. You realize - they're not the person you thought they were. Having once been in a cult - saw THIS happen - a LOT. When you learn the young evangelist who's actually been able to impress your normally jaded self has been screwing the teens in his youth ministry - yeah - you no longer support him (true story).

But Trump is the same man today as he was last month. The label is just that. He's still the best man for the job who's running. And he's leaps and bounds ahead of the man currently holding the office, who appears to be nothing but a senile placeholder for unelected handlers.

I think that's the plan...or part of the plan. The Demonrats would rather burn the country down and rule over the ashes than to have a prosperous, healthy nation of <checks notes> diverse individuals all contributing to that robustness. For the most part.

Its taken me a long time to recognize that just because I don't personally like someone's style, that doesn't make them wrong.

This was my point all along. Trump wasn't running to be your best friend, he was running to lead the country.

I personally love Trump. All of my mentors were men and women just like Trump and I loved them with all my heart, and learned so much from them. But I also understand that that style isn't going to resonate with everyone and not everyone can connect with a strong overt personality. But if that personality brings the goods, smart people will eventually put aside their personal distaste.

Oh, I never expected that from him. My dislike of his personality is disconnected from my opinion that this recent Trump more focussed on issues and less on personalities could have been a bigger winner in 2020 is all. Ignore the bush league players like influencers and actors (De Niro a special case, drop that toad off a bridge since the Biden campaign sponsored his speech) and talk policy and Biden. Thats the winning hand.

My mentors, on the other hand, were generally strong quiet types who got still things done, just not in a loud aggressive way. As you point out, both methods can be effective.

I wouldn’t say it’s a cult. I would lean more toward people are tired of the same old people not doing a damn thing in DC. Kind of like the black people believed Obama was going to help them if they voted him in office. We see how that worked out for them. People believe trump will turn things around for them and the country. Oh and it’s their money they can spend it anyway they see fit.
And you idiots will end up just like “the black people” who voted for Obama.

You’re just drinking a different flavored Kool-Aid.

Enough said. Explains everything.
You're just upset that nobody values the weak a& ineffective contributions of Betas, such as yourself...
And that's why you cheer on the weakness that is on constant display by your "heroes"

You really are a pitiful excuse for a male...you should change your screen name to Brandon or Dylan...it suits you better
