No, you don’t really understand the situation.

China will of course publicly feign support. But behind closed doors, they are reeling at the very idea. While a meeting is far from Korean re-unification, that is what China fears and cannot abide.

You see, China doesn’t want a functional democracy sharing its land border.

As a result they will not support this in any meaningful way.

The news isn't leading off with talk of pornstar lawsuits this morning or tampering with witnesses or the departure of the chief economic advisor or the legislative and worldwide backlash over the tariffs...a successful deflection!

Somehow, I get the feeling that if he had rejected the fatboy's offer, you'd be jumping up and down screeching in foam flecked vitriol, bewildered that the incompetent bastard missed such a grand opportunity.


As such, it's exceedingly difficult to take your opinion on this - and a great many things - even remotely seriously.

Sanders was already walking this back in her briefing this afternoon. What was a summit to happen at a location TBD by May is now at a location and time TBD.

She further stated that there must be concrete and verifiable steps towards denuclearization before the summit will be scheduled.

The situation could be extremely fluid, but the tone of the briefing suggested that last evening’s announcement was hasty at best or a terrible misstep at worst.

My money would be on this not happening at all.
