Trying to start a baby and mom running club

Hello All!

I am new to this blogging or forum thing so bear with me please. I had a baby girl last January and I am trying to get the energy to get moving again, so I was wondering if there are any moms out there that would like to participate in a running club (that includes the little darlings!). My husband bought me this ATV of strollers and I have yet to utilize it (I am assuming he was dropping hints from the get go ha-ha!). Let me know if there are others out there who have the time during the day but not the focus. I live in Hollywood and I was thinking we could rotate locations and just exercise maybe twice a week!

Have you tried to join the Moms' Club if you are a stay at home mother? We do have "Walk n Stroll" activity in the Moms' Club.

Why does it have to be mom's? There are always so many mommy groups and even worse single mom groups. I did the single dad thing for 2 years and found no groups for me :sad crying in shame face: So if anyone wants to run with ME a GUY let me know in the Cedar Cove area and also always looking for Mountain Bikers as well (even if there are no mountains) (by the way this wasnt a slam to your thread I do wish you luck with finding running partners).

Moms' Club do welcome single mothers, stay at home fathers, part time mothers, self-employed mother/father, etc. In fact, we have two Stay at Home Dads in Moms' Club. There's probably more Dads in other Moms' Club chapters. :yay:

I wouldn't mind joining you for a run. I don't have a jogging stroller. :ohwell:

Thanks anyway. :huggy:

I do have a stroller, but it is a little hard to get it move around while running. They only work on smooth pavement sidewalk/streets. As you saw me struggling to push the stroller at the Renaissance Festival, I was worn out because the wheels won't go over the dirts, gravels, trees' roots, etc.

Ya that day you needed something with much bigger wheels.

I am so very blessed
Yeah, I know. I'm :nomoney:. Those jogging strollers are EXPENSIVE!
I have a jogging stroller (as if  ), and it sucks. It's great if all you're doing is going in a straight line, but if you are trying to turn, it's a pain in the butt. It's one where the front wheel is stationary, meaning that it doesn't turn when you want to turn.

If you're interested in getting one, be sure to get one where the front wheel turns, otherwise you'll be highly disappointed.

Mine will be going on Freecycle soon, but I wouldn't recommend anyone actually buying one to get one like this.

the issue is with the front wheels that turn they shake and make it hard to run. thats why its stationary. my 02c worth is all.

Thanks for head up about the front wheel issues. I will keep that in my mind when shopping for jogging stroller in the future. :huggy:
