Trying to start a baby and mom running club

Hello All!

I am new to this blogging or forum thing so bear with me please. I had a baby girl last January and I am trying to get the energy to get moving again, so I was wondering if there are any moms out there that would like to participate in a running club (that includes the little darlings!). My husband bought me this ATV of strollers and I have yet to utilize it (I am assuming he was dropping hints from the get go ha-ha!). Let me know if there are others out there who have the time during the day but not the focus. I live in Hollywood and I was thinking we could rotate locations and just exercise maybe twice a week!

Running is bad for your joints, can we walk, skipp or light jog?

I am always looking for someone to walk with. I walk over at Cove Point Park though. Im signed up for the Avon Breast Cancer walk and am trying to get a movin' and a grovin'. I had knee surgery and walking is becoming difficult so Im taking it slowly. I went from walking 4 to 5 miles (before surgery) to 1.5 miles. One step at a time they always say!

the issue is with the front wheels that turn they shake and make it hard to run. thats why its stationary. my 02c worth is all.

:yeahthat:

I LOVE my jogger stroller! When your out walking or jogging if you want to go left just put a little more pressure on that side of the handle and it will make a slow ver to that side. I don't think runners are looking to make really sharp turns. If I do need to make a turn like that I'm usually not running and I will pop up the front wheel and turn the stroller.

SBerrygal~ They are quite expensive but I feel they are worth the money if your out on a rough road walking/jogging. I was lucky enough to have my mom get one for me. Mine holds up to 50lbs, so we will be using it for a while.

Yes, they are very expensive. Eh, I don't have that kind of money to buy the jogging stroller. If I did, I would have bought it a long time ago.

I'm a little late on the uptake here, but I would definitely be interested in walking/running.

I'm in Lusby...

Thrift store off 450, inside the beltway, has them all the time. If you do a search, on thrift stores, you will find where I gave directions and a map for Pixie a couple months ago.

I already got free jogging stroller given to me by a friend about two weeks ago. :yahoo:
