This was probably a reef shark, too. There were lots of barracuda in the water. I hear they're nasty, but have never heard of anyone being bothered by one.

We caught those when we went deep sea fishing. One dragged my poor old grandma up and down the boat several times. We caught a ton of gar in the river by her house. The same river the that there were alligators and juvenile shark in (intercoastal waterway in GA) and that my uncle would jump out of the boat and take a swim in. :twitch: Of course he was a crack head too so there's not much to say about his good sense. :lmao:

Butts tubing!! Did this about 3 years ago and it was fun. They have cooler tubes for you to put you cooler of beer on. Now just before you enter the water they have DNR there making sure you have your life jacket on whatever you do don't show them that you have beer in the cooler. That what the people at the tubing place told us.

When we went DNR was waiting by the out in site checking coolers. They made two guys empty every beer in their cooler, not by drinking it, and then let then go tubing.

True. Fish I can deal with. Water snakes and such, not so much! :chicken:
:lmao: most tubing rivers that allow booze on the river are so full of urine (among other things) that I'd be quite surprised if much was able to thrive.

SO's mom was telling me they were doing that the other day, she lives in Chippewa Falls.

It was an annual trip. If you go on the weekend, guys will set up lawn chairs in the shallow parts of the river and make all the women flash in order to pass by them. They also give out beads to the girls who flash. For years we tried to turn it around and offer the beads back in a "balls for beads" exchange... it took us about 5 years to find a guy who was willing to do it (apparently the water's cold ). Good times... I miss Somerset :bawl:
