I hope not. But son #2, whose wife is a vegetarian, has threatened me with Tofurkey.:barf:
My side of the family does Thanksgiving at my brother's and he is vetetarian. Tofurkey is what he serves for dinner... I chose to have Thanksgiving with my husbands side of the family each year...

So, sons wife is a vegan, why don't he just make her a tofurkey roll and a turkey for everyone else? Why should everyone have to follow her looney eating habits...

Everyone doesn't follow her loony habits, thank goodness! I HOPE he was making a joke, but I am still not eating there. The kids eat meat and seafood now but that was their private thing, not mine

Where'd you folks get your information?

Turducken is a sport brought over by the German immigrants. On a German dairy farm, children (and sometimes adults having an argument) throw cow patties at each other while someone records points for every hit. Ask any of the Rugg family! It's more fun than a bucket of boogers! :yay:

:lmao:

I love duck! I'll never forget ordering it at a Chinese joint when I was visiting my grandparents and my grandmother telling me I wasn't going to like it. Needless to say I cleaned my plate. My other grandmother use to make it occasionally on Christmas. I may have to cook Christmas dinner. Where does one get a duck though? Do they sell them at the grocery store?
Yes they do..

Ah, another no-no....

I know it's old-garde to do it, but stuffing a bird is so bad. Firstly, because of the absorbtion rate of bread based stuffing you are just asking for contamination---it's like putting a sponge in a raw bird and eating it. The uncooked juices seep into the stuffing as the bird heats up, making it a veritable nest for salmonella and all that other fun stuff your 9th grade science teacher warned about.
SOunds yummy, I hope there's enough for seconds..

I've never seen fresh duck around here - only frozen. Is there one around that sells fresh duck?
Don't know about fresh.. but you can get duck at Giant, and Woodburns.. I would think a poultry farm that would sell fresh turkey like lobsters at a nice restaurant (you know, pick the one you want from the herd) would also sell duck the same way..
