Turtle toys

I have about 2 acres for my 2 boxers to run around in and we live basically with 200 acres of game lands behind that..needless to say, we have a lot of wildlife. Lately, these turtles are all over the place and my dogs will keep picking them up and running around with them like they are toys... I feel bad for the turtle, but have you ever tried to catch an 8 month old boxer on the run... very hard to do, especially with such a big yard. Any way to ward off turtles?

Just put up No Turtle Trespassing signs, see if that works..

My boxers have been catching the same 5 or 6 turtles for the past 4/5 yrs. I have transplanted them away from my property but they always come back.

Can someone please tell me why everyone is so concerned with a turtle. I got nothing against them but if my dog or cat killed one, the world is not going to end. Im more concerned with my deck chipmunk and my cats. I just dont get why people stop and move them and look out for them like thier your kids. I mean, its just a turtle.

I'm not going to lie, I won't touch them, I go and get the grill tongs out after I get the suckers away from Molly and then I walk them to the line where my dogs won't cross and put them in the woods there...but I still think that's a tortured way to die, be carried around in a dogs mouth, dropped, played with, picked back up... I don't care for turtles, but that is a crappy way to go in my opinion.
