TV disposal

No, you can recycle at Best Buy.

Don't try it with the morons at the Waldorf Best Buy. I went in to the kiosk at the front door and asked where to drop it off and I got the deer-in-the-headlights look. He sent me over to the Geek Squad counter and I got more of the same clueless look from them as well. Finally ended up at Customer Service counter where they only accept up to 32" TVs. However its up to a 32" CRT (but they accept up to 60" flat screen TV). I was trying to dispose of a 42" Plasma, but all they kept seeing was the 32" number and they wouldn't take it. I ended up going to Bowie Best Buy and took it in and dropped it off no problem.

I've had a sticker on my truck for 10 years, and I don't think anyone has ever looked at it at either the transfer station or the dump, and I go to the transfer station weekly. When you pull up to the weigh station at the dumps, they usually ask where you are coming from. You could say anything, they never check. Maybe they see the sticker, but I've never seen their eyes look there for it.

I have been using the transfer station for trash and recycle and the dump for bigger stuff for over 5 years now. I don't have a sticker and they have never asked where I'm from at the dump.
I guess it just depends on who you get at the shack/window.
