The folks from Twin Kiss catered our office picnic today. Ribs, pulled pork, cole slaw, tater salad. The food and service were both excellent.

Yup Randys food is freakin great! I am so jealous you had them for lunch...I had a bowl of life cereal :bigwhoop:

I was so full, but I wanted seconds! I didn't do it though, it was about 110 in the shade. :hot:

My reception was a pool party/crab feast. People still talk about that party too. I even drove someone home that night. :lmao:

I wasn't going to say any thing but since I think things happen for a reason, there is a reason this thread popped up...

I wish I had another set of hands so I could give them 3 thumbs down last night.

I'll spare most of the details but it was "that" bad and my momma told me if I can't say any thing nice don't say any thing at all but it really, really was "that" bad.

100+ degrees inside, hotter inside than outside (109 heat index yesterday)
20+ minute wait for 1 cone for the 1 person in front of us
15+ minute wait for 3 cones
10+ minute wait on top of that for 1 sundae

I was hoping for some thing else since I'm only a few miles up the street but they won't be seeing me again. I'm the king of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc chances but it really was bad enough that I won't be back, a rating I've never given ever before....

I thought they were supposed to merge with a Randy's Ribs and go old school bring back the classic cars on the weekends - yadda yadda yadda -

I walked out today because I stood behind one other couple in line for over 15 minutes and still didn't get waited on. Nobody behind the counter even had a clue! They need to work on the basics before they open their doors. One guy walked up and cut in front of everybody to simply ask for another cup of bbq sauce and it took everybody behind the counter to deal with that issue. :ohwell:
A lot of folks like me don't wait around for the "privilege" of spending their money in a particular retail establishment. We take our money and spend it where a business understands basic fundamental customer service principles. If today was a snapshot of things to come, they won't be in business long.

Is it all make believe?

Went yesterday for just ice cream and don't think I'll be going back either. No chocolate ice cream (really?) and no bananas. Funny thing was the girl behind the counter took my order for a 3 topping sundae; strawberry, banana & hot fudge and got screamed at by another woman..."You knew we didn't have bananas"!

Haven't been yet since the re-opening but they were always slower than molasses running up a hill in January. You would think that they would have re-trained their existing staff or hired ones with some skills. Most restaurants are horrendous until they're up and running so hopefully they'll work out the kinks shortly.
