Two Golden Retrievers...

They would benefit from being apart. :yay: They're still young and they could develop a better bond with their human and it would be easier to train them separately.

:yeahthat: I may be crazy, but even I'm not crazy enough to get two puppies at once. :lmao:

Two BEAUTIFUL Golden Retrievers need a good and happy home!!!

They are brothers so they can't be split up. They are still puppies.. about 8 months old I think. Their names are Max and Sam. They are so pretty. If I already didnt have 2 labs I would take them in a heart beat! They are so loving they just want to be loved!!!

Anyone interested??

I will check back here... and email me too knbphotography@comcast.net

I sure hope you don't end up changing your mind cause all you would have done is broken alot of hearts on the forum and the people who were considering taking the dogs. When will you know FOR SURE that you are getting rid of them and for how much?

Well I called my Dad... and he was really defensive. We got in an argument about it. He told me to worry about my own dogs and for him to take care of his. He said I "hurt his feelings."

But any dog owner that says "I kinda wish he didnt come back." is a terrible dog owner! And that dog deserves better right??? am I out of line???

He treats his dogs like crap and I can't stand it. If he pushes one more button I think I'll call tri-county!

So then I called my Mom to see if I was out of line. And she says I wasn't.

I'm sorry if I got anyones hopes up. I got my own "hopes up" as well. I just wanted to see if there was a chance that they could go to a good home.

Again I'm sorry if I got anyones hopes up. I feel horrible. I was just trying to help them. I do feel bad about even trying to post on the forum. So I apologize to all of you. Hope you understand my reasoning.

I just thought there was a chance. Instead I got something completely opposite. I guess I caught him on a bad day but honestly I dont care.

I understand your reasons but you probably should have gotten the okay prior to posting the dogs.....good luck with your dad, that is a very touchy situation!

As of yesterday I was about 90% sure that he would want to go through with it. He was mad that they ran away. and said a few things that sounded like he wouldnt care.

Again. I'm sorry.

Don't be sorry, you are trying to do what's right for the dogs. Sad nonetheless.

If he decided to give them up PLEASE PM me. I just lost my golden last year to liver failure and would love to get some more information on them.

Here are a few if you are interested....

Lexi

Adopt a Golden Retriever: Lexi: Petfinder

Lexi was able to jump on the Freedom train to rescue from a rural shelter in Virginia that only gives their animals a few days to find a home. Lexi is hoping her chances in Maryland are far superior to what she was facing!
Since Lexi is so new to rescue we really don't know much about her other than that she does get along with other dogs and she is as sweet as they come, wanting to get as close to you as possible and is quite content to sit with your arms around her!

Lexi hasn't been spayed yet, but will be soon, won't you call for a chance to meet her? She's waiting for you!

Second Hope Rescue

Sam

Adopt a Golden Retriever: Sam: Petfinder

Sam, whose foster family refers to him as "Samtastic" is a happy, healthy two year old golden mix weighing in at 60 lbs. Sam is a "snuggle bunny" and loves to be cuddled. He walks nicely on a leash, knows basic commands such as "sit". "off", "down", etc. and has excellent house manners. He gets along well with other dogs. Cats and kids are unknown, but he is very interested in children and we think he'd make a young boy (or adult who is a boy at heart) a great pal. Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Maryland serves St Mary's, Charles and Calvert Counties. We require an application and home visit and will consider out of area adoptions if a home visit is completed by a reputable animal rescue organization in your area and results are sent with your application OR you may include photos of your home/yard/neighborhood and two references with your application. A $250 donation is requested. All dogs are spay or neutered, treated for worms/heartworms if necessary, receive a rabies and distemper vaccination and are treated for fleas/ticks. Dogs come with at least a month's supply of Frontline and Interceptor, a Lupine collar and leash and a golden rescue name tag. More information is available at golden retriever rescue of southern maryland.

Lady

Adopt a Golden Retriever: Lady: Petfinder

Lady is a 6 year old female, dark golden who was given up by her owners as they did not have time for her. She spent long hours alone and was able to free feed so she is working on regaining her girlish figure. Lady gets along well with other dogs and ignores cats. She does not need a fence because she will stay right with you. In fact, Lady is the dog in the magazines and movies who will sit beside you in front of the fire place while you read a book. She is quite playful and knows many commands. She LOVES to go for walks. Lady is initially shy and will give a low growl to say that she's fearful when first approaching a new situation such as getting her teeth brushed. She has never bitten according to her previous family and her foster family who she has been living with for four months. She is very loving once she gets to know you. Lady has recently started having "sleepovers" with other golden retriever families to help her get used to new people and new situations. She seems to really enjoy her visits. Even though she lived with young children we would like her to be adopted by a quiet family with no children or older children. She also needs a family committed to helping her lose five more pounds. She's an easy girl to live with. We serve St Mary's, Calvert and Charles counties in Maryland. To adopt Lady an application and home visit are needed. Go to golden retriever rescue of southern maryland for more information. Out of area adopters should send photos of their home and yard and two references in lieu of the home visit.

Don't be sorry. You are only trying to help the dogs. Maybe now that you put a bug in your father's ear about it, he will come around.

I know it tears me up inside when I know someone has a pet and doesn't really treat it right. Hang in there.

I think it's great that you would put your relationship with your dad on the line to do whats best for the two dogs.Maybe he"ll do the right thing after feelings cool off.
