Mattel just released its first line of 'gender-inclusive' dolls to allow kids 'to express themselves freely'
Unlike Barbies, the Creatable World dolls don't have long lashes or tiny waists, nor do they have square jawlines or particularly wide shoulders.
I actually like these dolls and think they're cute. What I don't like is companies retooling their product line to appeal to those who will never buy their stuff. Is some woke gender-neutral mommy really going to let her kid play with dolls? It's distasteful pandering and I'm over it.
It'll be interesting to see how they do in the market. If I still had a house I'd add one to my collection to mark our cultural changes. It could display next to my Rosie O'Donnell doll.
