The Ramones were all pretty ugly but you do one of them because they were cool. Plus guys who can sing and play instruments - that makes up for a lot of physical sins.

Really UGLY means you wouldn't touch them with someone else's ten foot pole, no matter how good the music is.

I listened to the Ramones on the way to work this morning. Great tunes, short commute.

But I'd bet that the Ramones would look great AND sexy if they had gotten haircuts. Too late for that, since they have been dying off.
