Urgent : Pit Bull Rescues in somd?

Someone needs to give up their 10 month old female pit bull TODAY. They're moving to an apartment that won't accept dogs. I know, I know. Don't get me started about the lack of planning for this poor pup. :cussing:

I don't know this person but I'm trying to help save this dog because I'd hate to see it go to Tri-county to be put down. She's apparently great with people but not with other animals. She's also house trained. Anyway, are there any pit bull rescue groups out there to help? Or anyone who wants to take her?

I think the "not good with other animals" is going to be an issue. This makes the dog much harder to adopt.

I would try ARF in Lexington park. Thats were I got my last pitbull from.

and make sure it is not the same one that has a 10 month old puppy that keeps attacking the kids..it's under the post "puppy"

I'll give you that but definitely has some Rottie in her. The 2nd most killer breed behind Pitts. :coffee:

no... i dont think there is rot...

yet again..... you have no clue about k9 breeds!! please brush up on Black and tans.... the body structure is not even close to a rottie...


and I would say over 15yrs in K9 handling and training and Vet Tech... one would be able to know the diff between rottie bone type and B & T.


just because it has black and tan on legs and top of eyes doesnt make it a rottie. There are MANY hunters that breed the hounds around here.... and a few labs around as well.

with the way they both think the puppy was "attacking " the kids....


as we had spoke and explained to the OP about what she thought was attacking ... IS due to a high play drive and high prey drive behavior.
