Urgent Referrals Needed For Well Pump

Lovin' Life
The company is no longer in existance. My father retired a quite few years back. It was getting to the point where he wasn't making enough money to keep the business going because he would barely charge a service charge for repairs and the competition was using very cheap parts and he wasn't about to. Everything he used was quality.

Those well diggers have been talking about JJPayne for years... they don't tell the truth I guess.... same thing happens in Virginia Beach between taxi companies... they're always spreading a heap just to get a little business...

My father was a well driller for years and was always going to fix things that Winslow had done. I wouldn't use them.

We had the same problem last year with our pump which was less than 2 years old. We got it from Winslow's and Johnson's came and fixed it. He didn't have much good to say about them.....

I just called Johnson Well Service based on SLIM's recommendation. I couldn't be any happier.

He came right over and looked at the problem. Even told me I could hang out and see what he sees (some guys don't like people looking over their shoulders).

The problem was not what other people had been suggesting. Mr. Johnson spotted a problem with the way the installation was originally done that probably was causing my problem. I asked him to go ahead and fix it. He also fixed my pressure problem in the process. He was also very nice and explained everything in as much detail as I want--not condescending in the least.

He was also very careful not to bad mouth any of the competition. He simply explained how they did it vs how he would do it. Be careful of a tradesman who comes to your house and bad mouths the competition.

The price was time and materials and very fair. So thanks SLIM for posting this info.

I had Johnson Well service come to my house because I was new to well systems and wasn't digging the egg smell. I was expecting the worst- you need a full water treatment system for $5,000+. He fully tested my water, which was good, checked out my system, explained everything, recommended I put some bleach in the well for 48hrs. Everything cleared up. The best part which I couldn't believe, he didn't charge me!

In My Opinion
It its just the pump, turn off the power, open the top of the well head, get a couple strong guys to start pulling the pump up. mark the hose at the top of the well head before pulling so you know exactly how far to put it back down.
once out, match the pump with one at a supply house, most likely anywhere from 500 to 700 dollars.
replace the old pump with the new pump. lower the pump back into the well.
