http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19291258Jack Andraka has created a pancreatic cancer test that is 168 times faster and considerably cheaper than the gold standard in the field. He has applied for a patent for his test and is now carrying out further research at Johns Hopkins University in the US city of Baltimore.
He's no doubt one of the first of the next generation of mankind who are coming in to take this world to a better place.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out with his invention/discovery. If the big medical conglomerates can't make big profits on cancer, are they going to allow his "cancer test for pennies" to come to market.
