Vacation

BadGirl

I am so very blessed
Aewsome pics, Bob. Where'd you go?
We started out with two days in South Beach/Miami, then we spent 13 days on a cruise ship (Norwegian Cruise Line's "Jade"). Ship sailed for 6 days before stopping in Ponte DelGada, Azores. Next stop was Lisbon, Portugal....then Gibralter.....then Malaga, Spain.....then Majorca, Spain....then finally to Barcelona, Spain. THEN we spent another four days exploring Dublin, Ireland. Wow! That was my most favorite part of the trip.

It was an amazing trip, and a great experience.

The US dollar to Euro exchange rate sucked (meaning that it was roughly $19 USD to get a hamburger :shocking: ). But overall, it was a great way to see just a small part of Europe.

I can totally recommend a cruise ship for a great way to spend a vacation. We found an extraordinarily cheap cruise, and for our money, we were treated like royalty. Great service, delicious food, and a really sizeable room (yes, it was a large room with a beautiful balcony!). I'm already ready to sign up for the next cruise - as soon as we pay this one off.

In My Opinion
With the price of gas these days, the only pic's might be taken from our own back porch!!! Very nice pictures, I can't wait to get out with the 5th wheel.
Im watching that fuel cost too.
you should run along with us in June, we plane to drag the trailer to Mt Rushmore, YellowStone, a portion of the rockies, you know, a short trip.

Very nice pics bob! Makes me want to go on a cruise

BTW, I agree about cropping the railing out of the first two shots :yay:

And a picture of the Eastern Slope, the old water catchment area (13 acres). It was all concrete and the water would hit the slope and drain into an open waterline that would feed their reservoir. It hasn't been used since 2003 with the addition of several desalinization plants, the concrete has been rmoved, and as you can see replanted.

Again, I didn't know what I was taking a picture of until we got back on the boat, and remembered they use to have to 'catch' their drinking water.

Agreed, but capturing the railing was intentional.. a reminder to us as to where we were when the pictures were taken.

I always had it in my head that Gibraltar was an island. It's not. This is a picture of the Gibraltar airport. They have to stop traffice six times a day for the incoming and outgoing flights. On this side of the runway is Gibralatar (England) the opposite side is Spain. Our tour guide was English, retired British Army, lived in Spain.
