Valentine's Dinner

Who's making what? We don't feel like fighting the crowds tomorrow night; we're gonna duke it out this weekend :boxing:
We're gonna start with layered tomato/basil/mozzarella topped with mixed greens drizzled with vinaigrette  but I'm not sure what I wanna have with it. Any suggestions?

Lamb.

I was thinking steak, it's his favorite. So maybe, the layered tomato appetizer, steak, baked potato and maybe broccoli? I dunno...

You can't go wrong w/ Outback! I think tonite would be a better nite to go in order to beat tomorrow night's crowd...

Okay so the tomato thing, steak or lamb, garlic mashed potatoes and probably another veggie. Hmm, dessert? Maybe I'll make a cheesecake tonight..?

It's hubby's B-day, I think I will make him fried chicken, he likes that and we don't have it very often. We are working on planning a family dinner/party at Burts Friday night. We have 3 birthdays and annivesary for hubby and I all in the same week.

Sounds pretty busy, kinda like us. Starts with my bro's anniversary 2/10, leads into Vday and the month wraps up with 3 birthdays in a week starting 2/20...whew!

Good luck with yours :)

If you are anywhere near a Nick's...

I highly recommend their meats. You can definitely tell a difference between there and the grocery store. They have filet on sale this week for $5.99/lb. You do have to buy 1/2 loin, but even if you freeze the rest and save it for later, it is still better than Giant or any other grocery. Definitely worth the splurge! BTW, this would go awesome w/ your garlic mashed potatoes and maybe some grilled or steamed asparagus.
