Valentine's Dinner

Okay so the tomato thing, steak or lamb, garlic mashed potatoes and probably another veggie. Hmm, dessert? Maybe I'll make a cheesecake tonight..?

for dessert just get some whipped cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and some cherrys. I'm sure that you can figure out the rest. After you are done with dessert I'm sure that both of you will have to cool down in the shower anyway!!

I highly recommend their meats. You can definitely tell a difference between there and the grocery store. They have filet on sale this week for $5.99/lb. You do have to buy 1/2 loin, but even if you freeze the rest and save it for later, it is still better than Giant or any other grocery. Definitely worth the splurge! BTW, this would go awesome w/ your garlic mashed potatoes and maybe some grilled or steamed asparagus.

Effin right! That's it...we're gonna have asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, steak and the tomato appetizer. Plus I think I'm gonna make a cheesecake.

Thanks!

That sounds really good. I have to work that night so I will be making dinner this weekend. I had thought about a cheese fondue(sp) for the kiddos, they would think that was cool.

Sounds pretty busy, kinda like us. Starts with my bro's anniversary 2/10, leads into Vday and the month wraps up with 3 birthdays in a week starting 2/20...whew!

Good luck with yours :)

Iam thinking if we can get everyone together Friday evening after work we would have a big Family dinner/party at Burts and then to my house for cake/ice cream ( even after the awesome Milk shakes we will have at Burts ). We could hang out together at my house just playing video games or watch a good movie on the large screen (73inch ). We have so much fun just hanging out together as a family.( since 4 of the kids are grown it does not happen as often as we would like ) Just having all the kids together would make a great annivesary gift to hubby and I. V-day some how gets lost in all the B-day stuff happening this week.

Callie, The fondue thing sounds good. I'm sure they'll love it. When we went to The Melting Pot they gave us cubed breads, different veggies and some fruits to dip in the cheese...sooo good :yum:

vbailey, That sounds awesome! You guys will definitley have a good time. Sorry VDay seems to be lost for ya but it sounds like you all will still be celebrating. Besides, VDay night, when you lay next to your hubby you'll realize that it's worth it anyways. Enjoy

Little ol' Me
I was thinking about hand dipping some strawberries (about 2 dozen) and having my sister-inlaws boyfriend leave them on his tool box for when he arrives at work tomorrow.

What do you think?

I really don't miss it (V-day) too much other fun stuff happening, and it is great just having a loving family to hang out with, Burts will be fun, we don't eat out much so it will be a treat.
