I disagree, totally. Perhaps your friend has a "condition" you are not aware of and Doc is. Dr. Boyd is a very good and reputable doctor. Last time I saw him when I was sick, he gave me sample antibiotics so I didn't have to dish out over $100 for 5 pills. In addition, I suffer from panic attacks and asked him for an RX for xanax, and he wouldn't write it.

Actually, she's telling te truth. I have a family member that was totally addicted to pain pills for YEARS. Guess who her #1 doc was? Dr. Boyd. Sorry, but it's the truth.

When i miscarried and it turned out to possibly be from cancer (hydaditiform mole disease) - i just about lost it. I couldnt eat, couldnt stop getting sick, couldnt stop crying, just a mess. My OB prescribed Xanax... very mild.. took that until i got through the crisis mode and then went off of it. I had a two yr old at the time and just couldnt function. few years later - had a personal crisis - just about lost my mind..couldnt eat, couldnt sleep, couldnt stop crying... my OB again gave me Rx for Zoloft. A year later, same marital crisis occured again ... i went to a phsycotherapist/pyschiatrist and they increased the dosage by 1/2. A year later, all was good - post divorce, i weaned myself off of it. MOST family practice doctors can and will prescribe you with something "to get by" -but anything long term, they'll want to refer you to a therapist - which in all reality, that is better. I'll pray for you and your sisters family... i cannot even begin to imagine the pain she is feeling... the meds will help her pick up and continue each day - grief counseling should be on order for everyone too.

Klonopin Rocks!!!!! Its a total chiller!!!!!

I take it when ever I am around my mother. It makes her visit a little less painful. :stabbingknifeineyes"

I also like Klonopoin for anxiety and panic attacks. I take it a few times a week for both. My only complaint is that it takes about 30-60 minutes to start working. The effects last all day though so it's great to take before you start a very stressfull day......

I'll take that too. Ativan will also do.

I had to take 3 of these before a medical procedure. That stuff put me in lala land. Most of the day is nothing but a blur and I could have slept for two days. Good stuff!:bigwhoop:

They just prescribed me xanax for my MRI on Thursday. Is that gonna work to keep me from freaking out while being put in a tube for 2 hours?

It is supposed to relax you. It relaxed me way too much. It didn't really begin working for me until the procedure was done. I remember the rest of the day in bits and pieces in between sleeping. :lmao:

Dear god I hope that's not the case with me! Seriously... I'm not one for enclosed spaces and the idea of 2 hours in a tube scares the crap out of me.
