I don't know any details regarding this dreadful call (pre-existing condition, etc.) but there have been numerous calls for respiratory distress in infants/pediatrics lately. NEW parents please do not hesitate to get help (consider transporting to your local ED) or call 911; don't wait hours upon hours thinking things will improve. Infants and pediatrics can go down hill in a heartbeat.

I hate hearing things like this. When my youngest was 10 days old, he started turning blue. We rushed him to the ER and it turned out he had been born with a hernia and the hole tore open and his intestines had collapsed his left lung and pushed his heart to the other side of his chest. Had we waited longer, he wouldn't have made it. Prayers to the family of this baby who passed. No family should have to go through that.

Such a very sad story.........does anyone know if the child had previous sickness.......just curious.

This is so very sad...

This baby's parents got married on Friday... the baby was the ring bearer. He passed away sometime between Friday and Saturday.

I am devastated for this family... I cannot imagine the pain they are experiencing.

Supposedly the baby had a history of high fevers that caused siezures but they don't know if that is correlated. :frown:

:bawl: Wow, as if losing a child isn't bad enough now every year they'll have to relive this tragedy on what should be a special day. I'm just so heartbroken for that whole family.

His parents got married a few months ago. The wedding over the weekend was for his aunt. Still just as horrible though. I could never imagine the loss of a child and pray I never have to go through that kind of pain.
