Vehicle registration renewal

On Maryland.gov it says that drivers license's, registrations, etc. that expire during the state of emergency will not expire until the 30th day after the state of emergency has been lifted. So is everybody renewing their stuff, or waiting until after the state of emergency has been lifted?

I've been renewing registrations as I get the notice, doing it all online. Driver's license isn't due for a few more years.

I've been renewing as I get the notices. No way I'm gonna try to renew in a 30 day window with everyone else who put it off.

Already did my taxes, too. I really don't need extensions for anything, don't want bills piling up and all coming due at once.

My vehicle resgistrations have been renewed as they come due, although the state didn't renew my first one that was due LAST April. Sent payment back to me, but $25 less than what I sent to them. Of course you couldn't get anyone on the phone for 2 months last year so never got my $25 back. No explanation whatsoever on why they didn't renew and sent part of my money back. Ending up doing online renewal for that one only. The rest of my fleet as been mail-in renewal with no problem.

My driver's license expired a month ago - still not renewed. Have to do a DOT physical and not sure I can go into doctor office without the face diaper. Face diaper gonna cause my blood pressure to go up which means I won't pass physical. Apparently I can go into MVA Loveville without the diaper.

didn't I read somewhere that the extensions end June 30th? Does that mean Larry plans on lifting emergency by the end of May?

We received a curtesy letter from MDOT last week for one of our commercial vehicles that will be coming up for renewal in May. The letter said we may have 'flags' on our account by the time we go to renew if we did not correct the issue(s) noted at the bottom. I looked to the bottom and it siad, 'could not verify active insurance'. That was it. no other info. No case number. No reason. I thought no problem since we have never ever had a lapse in insurance. I called agent and she said they will want her to file a F-10 but she cannot do that without a case number. I said there is no case number because we are not in violation triggering a case. She looked it up and agreed that we never had a lapse in insurance so no case would be triggered.

Been in business for over 25 years and NEVER before had we had to pre-prove active insurance before registration date. My take on it is they have all been home on their couch for a year and are now behind and are putting it back on us to do their work... :burning:

I feel your pain! I re-registered my dump truck 2 years ago dropping the GVW by 1000# just to avoid an extra form that sometimes MVA asked for at renewal and sometimes they didn't. As a farmer, I was exempt from the extra tax but still had to file the form, when asked. As a business owner, trying to deal with any state agency is bad enough, but then add this plandemic to the mix and it becomes a real crap show.
