When I was a kid, my great grandmother had a neighbor who was a beetle fanatic. He had at least four of them in his driveway at any one time.

I had to park mine on a hill or have a couple friends with me at all times. Damned 6 volt system.

Never had an issue like that with mine and I really loved having that reserve gas valve.

I’ve owned so many vehicles since the early 70s.....and wish I still had a lot of them. The 57 Bel Air with 327-365 and 4/speed that I drove in HS would be near the top of the list.

In the "most fun I've had with most of my clothes on" category, I had two of the Meyers Manx dune buggies and ran the snot out of them in the vast abandoned sand quarries that once existed in south Florida.

1969 mach 1, original 390cu in car.. i had a 428cj,c-6 and 389 rear. car was alot of fun.
did put a 427 tunnel port in it for a little bit..
