Mine did that the other day. Had to the turn it off and take the battery out. That took care of the problem.

I just did that and its taking forever to turn back on.
The last time this happend "BING" was magically installed on my phone with no way to delete it.
Did that happen to anyone else?

except don't turn it off first. Just remove the battery, count to 30 and put it back in. That forces a hard reset (doesn't change or wipe out anything).

If the background changed, then there was a bug in the OS somewhere. Nothing should have happened. if your problems persist, you may need to have the BB wiped and reloaded.
At least the background is an easy fix...

Mine screwed up Sunday through Monday. I tried turning it off and back on, but that didn't work. I went into "manage connections" and clicked on "turn all connections off", then I waited a few and turned the connections back on. Then turned off the phone and turned it back on. I promptly received 47 emails.

Either that or go into setup and then email settings. Perhaps you need to reset your password. :shrug:

Nah I get notices when my passwords need to be changed, and this also stops not just my emails, but my texts and BB messenger service from going through. I've had this issue once before. I actually called Verizon then and complained and they told me the turn off connectivity / turn on trick.
