If you don't want to wait for a complete reboot, just cycle the radio. Put it in "airplane" mode, wait 15 seconds, take it out of airplane mode. That forces it to reinitialize with the tower.

Anyone else having issues with their 3G network? I have been unable to get online all morning. My calls, texts and emails go through but dammit, I can't update my Facebook status!
I was told by verizon that they are updating/upgrading and adding new towers. Because of this, our phones loose sync with the towers. I had to go into my advanced settings and checked a few things. When I came back out everything worked even though nothing was changed. Now, all I do is go into the advance feature and back out again, seems to sync itself...
