Verizon Wireless...

...I am not the smartest person on the planet but, by and large I find most things on the web fairly routine and straightforward in terms of ordering, billing, paying. For instance, Amazon, no problems. Staples, EZ-PZ. McMaster Carr, Amex, my insurance company, my web hosting, Uline, even comcast but, for some reason, Verizon Wireless is a NEVER ENDING WIDE AWAKE ####ING NIGHTMARE.

I've been paying online for my cell phone for years. Absolutely no issues. It must be operator error on your part. Go look at some plastic flowers to calm you down and then try again.

That is like 'dead life'. There is no such thing.

It is not isolated to the wireless branch.

I spend a week on the phone with them when I turned off my DSL. I went round and round because after I cancelled it they hit my CC for a payment twice. first time I called and they said some crap about residual charges, prorated something or another so I figured "OK, you must know what you are talking about" but the second time I knew it was crap. I talked to about 20 people, transferred from one to the other, hour upon hour, retelling the story over and over all over $40. Long after it wasn't worth it I still held on because it became a matter of principle. I was going to get my damn $40 back.

Finally haver coming unhinged 3 times I got a hold of someone who figured it out and told me that they could refund $20 of the $40. Despite my intense anger I decided $20 was a small victory and took it. I got the check about a week later but instead of $20 it was $40. I chocked it up to them realizing they were being retarded and giving in. A week later I got another check for $40. I now realized the computer system that was initially trying to screw me was trying to screw them. My rationalization was they cost me far more than $40 in aggravation so I kept it. A week later another check for $40. Being the stand up person that I was I wanted to let them off the hook so I called them and told them they should check because I had gotten a refund of their ill gotten gains twice. They thanked me and made some computer entry. A week later I got $12. I did my due diligence :peace: It stopped after that but I was hoping for Verizon to help my retirement plans $40 a week.

Now, if YOU had problems, I am justified! :buddies:

I was just on the phone with an awesome chick from customer service, she walked me through my user name and changing the password, the correct web site for a business account and, in no time, I have it down pat again and I made NOTES including todays date so, I know what is current!

I thanked her, told her she was awesome and she said 'thanks and you, too, were very easy to deal with, sir...unlike this one freaking guy I had who kept me on the phone for DAYS over a measly $40..."

Call her back and tell her I spent the extra $92 they gave me on vacation in Florida.

I switched from AT&T to Verizon a couple weeks ago. Paid $199 for my iPhone 5 at the Verizon stand in BJs. Less than 2 weeks later, the iPhone 5 is marked down to $99. I called Verizon Wireless who told me I could go to any store and get the refund because it was within 2 weeks of me purchasing my phone and they have a price protection gurantee/return your phone policy that lasts for 2 weeks. That they couldn't do a refund towards my account over the phone.

I went to the Verizon store on Great Mills Road. They told me to go back to the place where I bought it.

So I went to BJs who told me they could do it but they would charge me a $35 restocking fee and I would have to turn the phone in and they would wipe it and hand it back to me.

By this time it's 1pm, I haven't eaten, I spent 3 hours in the drs office with a sick kid so I left BJs. I called Verizon Wireless and told them my situation and let them know if I had to go back into another Verizon Wireless store that day it would be to cancel my contract. I had my refund 10mins later.

When I switched from Sprint to Verizon there ended up being a $0.07 credit on my bill. They sent me a bill every month for five years showing that credit. We tried calling them, but they didn't care.

We had Verizon for years. Never had any problems. We dropped them two years ago only because they priced themselves way too high with increases. Other than that, no technical, customer, or billing problems.

would love to upgrade my iPhone 4 with Verizon to a 5. in order to do so, I would have to change my plan to a more expensive one with limits on my data plan. It sucks that I have to pay more to get less. putting off the upgrade for as long as the 4 holds out.

You could always pay full price for the new phone and keep your unlimited data plan.

have been considering that but I'm afraid I'll pay full price for the phone and then not be able to use the same plan anyway. have you done it?

Yes, recently. Bought the phone and went to my account online and activated it, same unlimited data.

Yeah! "Call Customer service if you like...and...assuming you can find where we hid the number..."

"Click here for business...no, here! No, click OVER here! Now, click, oh, I dunno, just click something if you wanna pay the bill..."

It's like a freaking treasure hunt...

I'd check to see if the Google Nexus 4 worked on Verizon, it was $199 for the unlocked version a while ago and its a pretty good phone.
