Your SD card didn't come preinstalled? The Moto Droid had a 16GB one already in there but I don't know about the Incredible.

The Incredible's came with a free 2GB card, but only for the first 3 days. After that it came with nothing. No big deal for me. I just took the 16GB out of my BB Storm and put it in my Incredible.

I just got mine in today and when I took it in to get everything switched around, he asked if I had the sim card that came in the box with the Incredible. I checked when I got home and there's no sim card. I just want to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks.

Oh, and I've only been playing around with it for about 30 minutes but I love it already.

The Incredible doesn't have a SIM card slot. Maybe they meant micro-SD card?

It's not a SIM card, it's just a removable micro SD card, 2Gb. I haven't put mine in yet. I've just been using the onboard 8Gb card. I'll probably give the 2Gig one to the girlfriend, and get a 16 for myself.

Cool! So, they're not making folks wait until the 14th of May? I saw an icon on the VZW Website saying will ship by May 14th. Or did you get it at the store?

I went in on Tuesday (5/4) and ordered it at the store. She said it was in the warehouse and would be 2 day shipping. It came in today around lunch time, after I had called the store to get a tracking number and was told it wouldn't be shipped until the 15th. I almost hugged the Fedex guy when he walked in lol

Oh, now that I look, I see that that's all he did was take my SD card out. He certainly called it a SIM card before going to the back to switch my contacts around. Thanks!

I want the droid, but I will stick with my BB Storm 2 as Droid doesn't have tethering yet. Tethering plugs into my laptop when I am in places that don't have wifi, and dials out on my phone. It's 15.00 a month. Even some hotels that the internet strength is low, I just plug my phone it and off we go. I use it while my husband is driving on long trips too. ( Yes So I don't have to watch him drive haha).
I wanted the Iphone but it didn't have tethering then and when they do ( or if they do now) it's 60.00 a month per phone. So, when droid gets tethering, it's mine! :) :yahoo:

I haven't looked into it at all but while I was researching the incredible, I saw where you could download this program for tethering. I think there is a free version and then one where you pay a one time license fee of $30 maybe, and you get unlimited access. Like I said though, I haven't looked into it so I don't know if its legit. But if that's all that is holding you back, maybe take a look at some Droid forums?

Side note: I was worried about how long it would take me to learn to text with this, but surprisingly its very easy!

It's legit, but not legal. Same thing is available for the BB.

Droid Incredible Review...TRip Report

OK, I made a weekend run to NE PA, north of Scranton where coverage by any other provider is VERY spotty at best. I haven't had a problem with verizon though, sending, text, making calls, even sending pictures from deep in the woods even, in the past.

This weekend wasn't any different. I was able to use GPS, Google Maps and Google Navigate to find an old fishing spot that I haven't been to in MANY years. It took me a bit to find it because so much in the area has changed, getting more and more built up.

I put the town name into Google Maps, used navigate to get me that far, and a few wrong turns later, and I'm at the spot. I used "FootPrints" to photograph and made a GPS location footprint on Google Maps, saved to my phone forever.

It was a good day. In a couple of short hours, myself and the 10 year old had caught a few trout, one stocked, two natives and had a great time with no other humans in sight.

I made and recieved phone calls while out there, in the bottom of an approx 100 foot gorge, at the base of some waterfalls, and clarity was awesome.

I checked email, checked my GPS location a few times in different spots, just because I could, and went about enjoying my day.

The day was VERY overcast, VERY windy, with heavy rain spurts all day long.

The phone functioned flawlessly. I remain VERY impressed with this phone.

Thanks for the feedback. Especially with all the Internet talk about the signal bars. I guess the bars just don't give an indication of the real signal.

Sounds like you had a great time.

Thats exactly it. There is a glitch in the software and the signal meter shows lower than you are actually getting. I have had this phone since launch and it is truly Incredible.

Just got one last weekend at the Best Buy in Waldorf. They had 6 at the time. Not sure how they got so lucky, but I'm glad I found somewhere that had it. I love it!!!

I ordered and got the g/f one in two days, last week. And the store by me still had some in stock last night. I was there transferring contacts and pictures to the new phone.
