vertigo and ears

Since Friday I have had a problem with my ears... everything seems amplified... things are so loud that it is uncomfortable :frown: and sort of echoing...

Well, now I am losing my balance... I was walking and literally fell into a wall. :cds: This has happened twice in 4 hours.

Has anyone ever experienced these symptoms? I am getting concerned.

Tinnitus has been known to cause symptoms like those you described. And it probably is in your head - literally.

Be careful driving! The vertigo can be triggered by you doing something as simple as turning your head to the side to see if traffic is coming.

probably an inner ear infection; really nothing they can do for it besides give you dizzy pills to lesson the vertigo. (for the most part motion sickness pills).

If you are just dizzy vertigo it is probably an inner ear problem. Until you get to the doctor you may want to try a decongestant in case you have fluid build up in the ear.

When I get it I can't even stand up, lay down, sit, or anything else without the room spinning to the point of extreme nausea. My version of vertigo has a direct correlation to a neck injury, so none of the anti vertigo medicine works and I have to do physical therapy to make it go away.

No..you said ...."had the same symptoms a little over a year ago... no ear infection
just a case of vertigo"

So my comment that is may be an ear infection is wrong.

(I had someone tell me that when I complained of menstrual cramps....that they had the same symptoms and it was just a case of "cramps"....nothing to worry about.)
