vertigo and ears

I went to the doctor.

I have lost a little over 30% of my hearing in my right ear since my last screening 2 years ago. He said it looked slightly inflamed and gave me an antibiotic.

He also gave me Antivert (Miclizine) for my vertigo.

Make sure you have someone at home with you when you take your Antivert if you are responsible for the little one... it knocks me out cold for hours. If you have the same reaction, there is no way you'd be able to monitor him.

there are several things it could be .. other than just an ear infection

So my comment that is may be an ear infection is wrong.


(I had someone tell me that when I complained of menstrual cramps....that they had the same symptoms and it was just a case of "cramps"....nothing to worry about.)

we'll have to wait on withrespect to respond, but he really should have given her an antibiotic as well since ear infections are caused by a bacteria and not viral.
