I was past Scheibles on Friday and their sign out on rt. 5 says "closed for the winter, see you in April." They do have a website but right now it has the opening date for 2009. Just don't ever be in a hurry when you go there. We've been to Stoneys in Solomons a few times, but still like Scheibles better. I totally agree with you about dives and atmosphere, sometimes they are the best.

Wouldn't it be great to have a great, more upscale Italian restaurant within an easy drive of this area without having to go all the way to Annapolis, DC, or Baltimore!

I don't know when you lived in PG county, I am originally from there (years ago), but have you ever tried the Italian Inn across from the old Capital Plaza Mall on Rt. 450? They always had some of the best pizza (and other dishes). The last time I was there was in 2001 during a visit for my high school reunion and a whole bunch of us went there. It was just as good as we all remembered. Jeez, now I really want good Italian food, guess I will have to go searching for a good recipe to try for dinner!

Have a great day!

Oh WOW, talk about a blast from the past! As a kid my parents took us there for dinners and I spent many evenings there as a young adult. The pizza there was awesome!

Oh No! Say it ain't so!! :otter:

Went to Jaspers last Sunday and Three Brothers is on the opposite corner from Jaspers. There is a new medical center next to Jaspers and an office park with a bank across from the mini-golf/batting cages. There was a large sign attached to Three Brothers but couldn't read it as one side was loose and flapping in the strong winds.

That's the Help Wanted sign! They're not gonna get much help that way. Looks like they first need help to put it back up!!
