Violence after election results.

Talk to your neighbors, have a plan for your street. Just in case. If SHTF, you would already have a group to join to other neighbor groups. Ten guys with rifles protecting the entrance to a neighborhood is better optics and deterrent than individuals holed up in their separate houses.

And if needed, maybe deputizing by the sheriffs?
I was a high school student in small town North Carolina when MLK was killed. I heard there was rioting in the black section of town about 13 blocks away. I grabbed my rifle and climbed up on the roof to get a better view. I could see the light from fires in the distance and decided to stay up on the roof for awhile. As my eyes and ears adjusted to the night, I began to notice my armed neighbors also on guard. It was very reassuring.

I suspect DC and surrounding areas will turn into a Civil War type atmosphere. Calvert can be shut down pretty easily as there are only 3 entry points. Blockage at each point. I really don't think anything will happen down here but as my husband told me last night, if SHTF, you are done working in Northern VA. Not going to drive up there during the sh*t show.

i agree, I used to commute from Crystal City and that was HELL enough without protestors and rioters blocking the streets and bridge.

Well shoot, pedestrians aren't safe in the cross walks in the parking lots, can you imagine what would happen to people blocking the street.
They'd be run over 50 times before the cops could get the traffic stopped to bring in the ambulances.
