Already has gone, with the general consensus being that barring some act the he/she did in the bathroom other than just being there, this reaction was completely over the top, and that bystanders didn't really do enough. Only thing that kept that person alive was that old lady. If dragged outside, I think death was going to be the result.

Actually, the police were talking of classifying this as a hate crime because of the race factor. What seems to interest them more, however, is that the victim is transgender, which is a more worserer hate crime.
