Visa Fraud alert

Just got a call saying my Visa card had been used to make a purchase at WalMart.com for $600+ this morning.
Last place I used the card was at Applebees this past Thursday night

They called me.
Didn't request my card number on only wanted 2 digits of my social (i.e. xxx-x give us the next two) to prove who I was.
Then they cancelled my card and told me to call the issuing bank tomorrow when they open to request a new one

Somebody committed theft with your card. Every county sheriff has a fraud dept. I'd call just to let them know.

Its most likely not a scam on the part of the caller based on the limited information they requested from you, however you do realize that I can place a call through my puter and make it look like its coming from almost any number that I choose right?
If it is suspect Im am also sure that those in security at the bank have the ability to trace it back to an IP. If not them, then the police or someone else.

the calling back is a good idea, that way you have a fair idea that they are who they say they are.

sucks that the world has come to this.
