visit dogs at kennel if can't foster?

Since we can't seem to find foster homes, would anyone be interested in socializing and playing with dogs while they are kenneled? That's our other option when we can't find a foster home, but we can't have them just sit there with only the workers for attention, we need people that can go play with them and socialize them.

This would be a real easy way to get dog time without any of the responsibility...

Anyone interested?

We have two options Interlude, both on Rt. 4 and the other one (Lusby?). I haven't pulled them yet, I just have to make sure I have enough help and not stretch myself any thinner....

Since I'm running to take a dog to the vet for spaying, I'm sure you'll get plenty of answers to this question.

BUT I'm a firm believer, that there is a home for EVERY dog out there, it just sometimes takes a while to find that home. Just because the current owner doesn't "want" the animal, either due to irresponsibility or actual true inability to keep this animal, doesn't mean it's "unwanted".

That's why people need to spay and neuter their pets, there are way too many "disposable" dogs and cats already looking for homes...

Right, I've got a couple at the shelter right now (Cadillac and a 5 month old puppy), that if I can't find a foster home for them, and no one adopts them or any other rescue doesn't pull them, then if I want to save them that's my only option. (Unless I get 3 of my own foster dogs adopted today or tomorrow....)

If I play with dogs, I will invariably get attached to one of them. Since my lifestyle doesn't accommodate having a dog, it's best for me to stay away.

the dogs you're looking to foster - are they housebroken? i have a big azz german shepard - and i have two cats. they all get along. I'd be willing to take a sat or sun to play with the kenneled dogs - just let me know where...

I would be. I can't foster at this time, but playing with them is the next best thing.

Yes, would be very interested!! My girlfriend would love it!!!
It would need to be on the weekends cause we both work
long hours during the week. Let me know if we can help.

Thanks to everyone that's offering to help, right now I don't have any kenneled, but that's always subject to change... The Mastiff from the other thread got adopted, which was cool, I met Cadillac and he was a real sweety, passed his temp evaluation with flying colors! The puppy's stray time is still a few days away so I'm okay for now, but when things change I'll be contacting everyone!
