uhhh, well the glaciers are getting thinner because global warming is melting them. Ergo global warming is responsible for warmer ocean water.

Warmer waters would make it warmer, right? Thus the reason it's called global warming.

Now, what's the term "unseasonably cold" mean frosty?

It's too cold to think about global warming because everyone's having a brainfreeze, except you because you have no brain to freeze.

Hey, you got one right! The ocean is warmer because the volcano is making it warmer, and that is causing the glaciers to get thinner!

And there is no ice melting around Erebus either. Erebus puffed it's azz off for the 3 years I was stationed there and every winter the water around McMurdo froze, and every summer it melted again. Not much, but it melted enough for the icebreakers to get through.

My appologies for posting out of date information. Removed. I'm not worried about some Ice melting from volcanoes. It's nature at work. Can't stop it, so why worry about it.

The thing about science is that there's always new information that comes along and contradicts old information.

Science doesn't base the fact that everything that happens is the will of our God, and there may never be a 100% factual scientific explanation as to why things happen.

So, it will be 1° warmer 20 years from now.

Don't care. Summers in Maryland will always be hotter than in Florida and winters here will always be bone cold.

Temperature at the dome at South Pole was -60 and that was summer time. McMurdo averaged around 32 and below. We played the Thanksgiving Day football game in the snow, in shorts and shirts. Zero humidity. You didn't feel the cold as much, but you could get frostbite very easily.
