Voter support for “Medicare for All” has collapsed by 50 percent over the last month, according to polling from Politico/Morning Consult.
Until this month, the Democrats’ single-payer “Medicare for All” scheme enjoyed majority support in this same poll going back months. But now that the ugly details of the program are actually being debated and publicized, net approval for the scheme has been cut in half.

“From January to February, net support for single-payer health system fell over 50% to 12 points,” the pollster reports.

Not that I really care about the health care debate. It should be the sworn duty of actual Americans to fight the likes of comrade GURPS and his propagandist sources.

So, here is the link to the actual survey: https://morningconsult.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/190211_crosstabs_POLITICO_RVs_v1_ML-1.pdf

And here is the page with the actual Medicare for All question. Breitbart claims support fell to 12%. According to the page from the actual survey that contains the actual question and actual responses: Support is 50%, oppose is 38%, no opinion is 11%.

"It should be the sworn duty of actual Americans to strip citizens of their right to free speech and prevent them from relaying any information that is contrary to the officially recognized Party talking points."

Orwell would be so proud of you. So would Stalin, and Chairman Mao. The Kims in NK would put up a statue in your likeness, and Pol Pot would give you a seat to his right.

To my understanding, Medicare only works because it DOESN'T cover everybody, and if every doctor and hospital got reimbursed by Medicare only - they would go broke. Medicare for EVERYONE would bankrupt us, at least the way it is run.

The problem with a lot of these socialist dreams is, to implement them, the typical American would have to give up a LOT of what they want to have.

I've told this story before, but it describes the way things are done across the board in these "efficient" economies.
I was doing some field-testing of mail sorting equipment back in the 80's and the vendor was Siemens - so all their staff were German.
I asked them if they used THIS mail machine at home. No, they said. Why not? Because they don't need it - all the mail in Germany was
standardized in fixed sizes and packages - you want mail delivered, get one of THEIR envelopes or packages or folders or boxes - or
at least, conform to one of the given standards. Their machines were designed to read a standard.

Against of course, the American mode, which is to mail any damned thing you want so long as it has a stamp on it. I've said before, once
I saw a PILL BOTTLE with the address where the label was, and the stamp was on the lid. And we delivered it. Ditto a poster mailed FLAT rather
than in a rolled up tube. The "envelope" was a bunch of taped together manila envelopes, but otherwise was addressed and stamped like
a regular letter - and we delivered it.

As I've told that story again and again, it occurs to me that when you send something via USPS competitors - THAT IS EXACTLY what they do -
you don't go to FedEx with a little envelope and a stamp and say here, mail this. You do it their way.

And that is the way ANYTHING is run, be it government run Medicare or anything else they're in charge of - over there. Do it their way. You can't see a doctor right now all the time - you'll wait. Need a liver? You can get in line unless you're too old - so don't bother. Need a test? Wait your turn.
Want this or that operation? Find someone who does that -we're never covering that, I don't care how many marches or protests you have.
