You're either with us or you're against us. Are you a terrorist? If so, your days are numbered. Come October of next year...you're shut down.
(Check your email...you should have received the memo.)
Because I have decided to support Bush in his effort to combat terror and win in Iraq and you liberals have deemed Bush more dangerous than the terrorists, making him the most horrible terrorist on earth then, in the eyes of you liberals, I am a terrorist.

In that context I wonder how I should take your comments. :bigwhoop:

What news are you talking about? All you pointed to was an op-ed piece.

Wouldn't you think that, if this were news, it would be somewhere other than in an editorial?
Naw... liberals don't need facts backed up by several sources. All they need is someone's opinion to confirm their own and WHA LA! Fact!

GWOT is like the War on Drugs. It's a slogan to name something that will go on forever.

Only if it was just WOT - War On Terror. There's a minor but significant nuance. We're not waging war on every terror group in the world gunning for us - that's impossible - and that's why there's Homeland Security. You can't hunt down every jerk that wants to break into your house and bus' you up, but you can put a couple guard dogs nearby.

We are fighting a war on global terror - a war against organizations with a global reach and there actually aren't a lot of those, unless they have the backing of an actual nation - because when you have the support of an entire country and access to its resources and intel, even a tiny group has the power of an international terror group. We are fighting against groups that have a bona fide global reach. As long as nations cooperate, there's a finite amount of them.

We did more or less end piracy on the high seas in the 1800's, and it doesn't exist as it once did. Global terror can be shut down once we cut off enough heads and shut down the conduits supplying them.

You can go with that if you want, but mark my words, GWOT is here to stay. One reason will be it will be the catch all excuse in politics for the future. I think we will be hearing about GWOT for at least 20 years.

You know, we have a name for everything: WWI, WWII, Viet Nam War (really a conflict), Dersert Storm, yadda yadda.

What the heck would you call it? The Big Terrorists Whoop Up on the Little Terrorists?

The reason it's called the GWOT is not because all terrorists (like the IRA) are involved, but because al Qaeda is a global terrorist organization.

This is a slogan. It's different than an operation name like Enduring Freedom or Desert Fox which have clearly defined goals. GWOT is a bit more open ended.

It goes on forever because the way we are fighting it perpetuates more terrorism.

Joke all you want, you liberal Osama Bin Laden lover.

The power of the memo (with triangle-highlighted chart) is what opened my eyes to the truth of Everything. Before, I was misguided and uninformed. Today, God speaks to me through George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

If you have a problem with that, then you will surely join Bill "Satan" Clinton in Hell!!!!!!!
