Yea I use a propane buddy heater as back up heat and I always make sure I have plenty of ventalation near it....That is so sad...

Great point. They're cheap, especially for something that will save lives.

I wouldn't trust co2 detectors most people forget to change the batteries in them. My heater has a sensor built in but I don't trust it... I still open windows

Unless you have windows at floor level, opening the windows won't keep you safe. Even then, if it's cold enough to need extra heat, how much cold air are you going to let in through those windows?

I have mine setting on the counter and there is a window beside it.I crack that one open and I also crack the ones in the sleeper open. I like sleeping in cooler rooms. I rarely use it but when I do there's plenty of ventilation...
