Thanks all for the help getting started. I'm going to check Lowe's and Sear's. Any other retailer's to recommend?
I'd stay away from the big stores.. try to do business with a locally owned enterprise. There aren't many left as Lowes seems to be putting them out of business one by one, so shop and buy from local businesses.

I had a favorite small business in PA I bought all my appliances, windows etc from.. I haven't found one here yet, only because I haven't been in the market for any appliances yet.

BG may be getting a new washer for Mother's Day though.. Shhshshsh don't tell her!!

But I don't need a new washing machine. I would just like to get the one I have repaired. But to do that, first we need to clean out/clean up the laundry room. That might be tomorrow's project. :yay:

Buying a new home. My first home.

I need to purchase a washer and dryer.

Space and money are not an issue.

Any recommendations of what to buy and where to buy are appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :howdy:
Whirlpool. A little more$, but runs like a champ.

Gonna go with the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer & Dryer.

Lowes is cheaper than Sears, btw.

I love my washer and dryer. Sears HE3T washer and HE4T dryer. Had a problem with the washer, seems to be a "recall" type of issue, it was fixed and now is fine.

Checked out the stores, in person, this past weekend.

I still need to check the locally owned stores though.

You might consider the Sears stores in California and PF as being locally owned and their sales prices are very good. The selection is not as good as the big store.

I checked Sears and they were the most expensive so far. Nearly $200 more than Lowe's.

I keep seeing a TV ad for an LG washer with Sanitize and STEAMER settings. That's what I'm going to have next!!!!

we have a bosch washer and dryer and they are both really quiet the washer does let you know then the washer is done by beeping but that is about it. I really like it and its a front loader and so is the dryer and another thing is the wash is done in record time it seems like you just put the laundry in and whala its done.

In the house in NY we had an LG that did the washing and drying all in one unit but it seemed like the loads took a lifetime get get done. I like the washer and dryer by themselves not the all in one just fyi
