Water on top of dishes in dishwasher

My dishwasher is leaving water on top of glasses even though I'm putting JetDry in the little compartment. I've looked in my book but can't find any answer to help me. I use the heated dry button that should be drying the dishes but doesn't. Can anyone give me any help, please?

Mine does it too. Every dishwasher i've ever used has done it. The dry setting is to dry the stuff off and Jet-dry stops streaks, it won't do anything about the puddles on the glasses. If i'm around once the wash cycle ends, i'll open the dishwasher and dump the water off the glasses and then close it back up to dry. Not really anything else you can do.

I do dump the water off the dishes but not before the heated dry comes on. I usually do it after the dishwasher is done and then I'll open the door and let them dry further. Seems to me, though that the heated dry should take of this issue

I think the idea is to stack the dishes so the least ammount of water will accumulate. You shouldn't have to open the door and dump water off before the heat dry cycle. JMHO

Drill little holes in the bottoms of the glasses so the water doesn't pool up.

Seriously though, just don't have glasse with a large recessed bottom and put them in at as much an angle as possible.

Also, isn't Jet Dry just for water spots?

And this is a problem why .... ?

solution: It's called a dish towel. You use it to dry the dishes. :howdy:

That's what I do. As soon as the cycle is finished, open it, get rid of excess water in pot lids and things with lips (tupperware, etc..), wipe them quickly with a towel and let them finish air drying.

:yay: What a sensible solution!

I have a brand new dishwasher - well, it's 1 year old now. It takes a lot longer to cycle through all the rinsing and washing, etc. But it does a 100% better job than my 11 year old D/W that came with my TH. It's supposed to be more energy efficient though, and over the last year, I haven't noticed any major difference in either the electric or water bills - so I guess it is.

It was not the most expensive D/W on the market, it was a moderately priced Whirlpool model with a big rebate/sale, so I thought I got a good price for a good D/W. But it still leaves water on the dishes, even when I have the heat selection on.

See, I don't use the heat dryer, I think it's a waste of energy and money. If you open the washer right after the cycle ends, the dishes are still hot and the water evaporates very quickly. In the winter, that added moisture into the air is nice too.

Dearhearts: I am usually multi-tasking & not even in the room when the D/W ends or the Things are the ones who start it while I am gone. I have to choose my battles & pick which things I need to be OCD about.

Stays warm for quite a while. Even if it isn't I still open it and dry plastic stuff on the rack. It just doesn't seem to dry.

Let me know when you find a solution. My toilet keeps filing every time I flush it and I havent been able make it stop. Whomever solves your problem should be able to solve mine as well.

Dishwasher, I installed it but I don't know how to operate it.

I'm smart like that.
