Water Park In Chesapeake Beach

I went last night (monday) with my daughter and a friend of hers.
Her friends 24 year old sister showed up in a bikini and I was basically of no value from that point on.

anyway, it seems that right after we got there and I was floating in the water,, I over heard somebody say that a child had let loose with a baby ruth bar in the the childrens area............................ the water between the two areas is shared.

I know Im a bad parent but,, I bailed, I got out of the water so fast that I think I ran over 3 kids and a fat lady.

what is wrong with people to let their kid take a dump in a public pool??????
Caddy Shack! :lmao:

As far as the water is concerned you probaly are going to find that mos pubic places are not as clean as we would like them to be. I took my kids there year last year, they enjoyed it. I would not pay the full price to go in, i would DEFIENTALY wait until fter the time when it goes to half price but i think it was a neat place.

This is a nice place - we've been to it several times w/ our gradeschoolers. Some of these over-protective postings have my shaking my head in amazement. Cmon folks, lighten up. Kids are kids. They get cuts, scrapes, rashes, burns, infections, etc. You can keep 'em in the house and not let them do anything, or let them experience life while staying a part of it.

Swimming in a pool where dodging floating bio-logs does not fit into the catagory of experiencing life to the fullest.
However, standing on the side of the pool watching everyone in the water panic as they try to avoid the floater is a riot.

Sure - I love dodging floaters, that's why I go. Cmon. I've never seen/heard of floaters at the water park, but of course it could happen. For that matter, I'm sure there are a few in Ocean City too, not to mention the "Oceans" of urine. Hey - I brought my family to Applebees in Prince Frederick a couple years ago. The place was packed. My youngest kid chose that opportune moment to unexpectedly vomit all over the table, seat, floor, and not to mention himself. A horrible mess. So using your logic, I guess everyone present that day has boycotted the place ever since, and warns their acquaintances to avoid it like the plague or risk getting spattered with puke.

It was last monday or tuesday around 4 or so. I believe it was in that center section that the little ones play in, not in the outer loop area.
now, I will say that the offending biological matter was retrieved quickly from the water however, Im sure that there had to be at least a small quantity of rectal juice distributed with the product in the first place.

so, now you have heard of it. glad I could assist you in your quest for information.

oh and let me add that this incident will not keep me from going there again in the future, it only had me diving for the side when it happened.

Sorry dear, but I have to say you are out of line here. As a daycare provider I don't like to take these types of trips, but I know lots of providers and parents who DO like them. Especially when there are older kids involved.

Frankly darling, it is none of your business if she has her insurance, permission slips, etc. in order. The law requires it and has supervision requirements for taking children to such places. If she is a licensed, she'll know that and I have no reason to assume she won't abide by it.

This may not be scientific but...I always like when I can smell the clorine when I go to a pool. It makes me think that it is clean. The chesepeake Beach water park does not have a clorine smell. The one in lusby has a strong clorine smell. I know, not scientific but it makes me feel better.

Theres one in lusby?

Yes...Cove Point Park. Not as big as Chesapeake beach. No lazy river. But a large pool and diving boards. A great area for the kids with slides, Lily pads, giant crab. A nice size kiddie pool with a canopy to keep them out of the sun.
Snack bar. Area to eat. You can also take in your own food.

Ok that sounds nice. Does the water smell there? Is it a nice place to go my two are both under 5 years old. We use to go to the hotels with pools because we did not know where else to go. Or the Base but the park sounds nice.

I didn't swim while I was there. I could not smell anything from my chair as I have at other pools. My kids are teens. There was a lot for the little ones.

My kids (4 and 7) spend about 4 hours per day there. In fact, we went over after I got home from work tonight. We bought a family membership this year, and it has been great. It's open noon till 9 PM tomorrow. Check it out, you'll like it.

There's stuff for all ages: under 5 pool, bigger kids pool, and adult pool.
