Took this the friday night when the snow started blasting us this past storm..we got back to the metro just in time before they closed down the above ground stops..whew! Had 1st row tickets behind the bench

Yes he did. The past two nights Cap have won with the muckers, the big guns with the exception of Knubble last night, havent got too many points and no goals. (Ovie, Backstorm annd Semin). Great penalty kill last night when Caps were down 2 men, unbelievable play of Backstrom without a stick, giving up his body to stop 3 slapshots from the point, thats got to hurt.

Go Caps they are about to clinch their division already.

They better start attempting to sign him or extend his contract, he is about ready to become free agent.

Earlier this year there was talk about him and Semin and whether the Caps could afford to sign them both and that they might have a problem with the salary cap if they did. Well Semin has signed, they picked up his option year or something like that, think he is good for 2 more years, but Nicki hasnt done anything yet and the Caps need to get him wrapped up for more years. IMO after Ovie, Backstrom is the second most valuable player on the team.

Was at the Lightning game the other night. Big screen showed Backstrom, on the bench, after he blocked those two shots. The whole arena gave a standing ovation!!
