Carter couldn't even do a rescue operation without getting people killed - I shudder to think of what might have happened if he'd actually tried to go after them.
That could be but the conspiracy theory is that Bush went over there and made a deal with the Ayatollah, which led indirectly to Iran-Contra.
Frankly, the conspiracy theory sounds about right to me.
Yeah, but I was unimpressed. I suppose I could make fun the guy comparing a bum to Jesus...or his spider hallucinations...or the hairdresser being the first person the Mom called after her daughter was born...or two almost 30 year old children who still live at home...or the daughter implying that Jesus' disciples were gay...
but all in all, it was a pretty vanilla story.

Which was really dumb. For one, several are recorded as having been married, and chances are good they all were. Secondly, that one in ten figure ought to be on Snopes, because every effort to prove it has shown the figure to be MUCH smaller. And lastly, I could just as easily say "1 in 2 people are female" or "1 in 3 people are Chinese" and say 'do the math'. Even if "1 in 10" was *correct*, the apostles were selected deliberately and not at random.
Oh I SO don't want this to be a 'gay' thread. My point is - it's just dumb logic to presume that they were gay.
Actually, I found most of the article pretty dull - occasionally making the implication that Republicans were intolerant. Implications here and there that they don't believe in human kindness, charity or that kind of thing. I mean, I could give a crap - Republicans are always portrayed as heartless, intolerant greedheads.
