Had a follow up at the Vet today. Dr Dorsch said it looked like the growth was completely gone from the front half of Blue's tongue, and the remnant at the back looked less swollen and tender. Blue has been on a long release antibiotic and steroid the past 2 weeks. We'll observe for 2 weeks, then bring her in for another look-see.

Had Outside time a couple days ago, Miss Blue was sitting on the stump I use for splitting fire wood. She heard the neighbor dog whining on the other side of the fence and jumped down to investigate. I had been trying to get a picture of her sitting pretty.

Which I did today during Outside time.

The aging kidneys woke me up about 5:30 AM today and as I'm going back to bed, see that Miss Blue has discovered one of the Joys of Being a Cat: she was asleep in the basket of clean clothes I pulled out of the dryer just before bed time. Of course, mostly blond kitty laying on the dark clothes.

I'll call the vet in the morning to see if they can see her right away, but we do have a follow up previously scheduled for Thursday.

IF is is not a cancer, but a recurrent benign growth, the long acting steroid shot can be done again, with a maintenance dose of a steroid cream that can be rubbed inside her ear.

Did get Blue to the vet today, judgement is still on the side of a persistent allergic reaction.
Blue got another long acting steroid shot, and will be getting a steroid cream for us to rub in her ear.

What we do for our lovies is awesome. We just spent $3000 on a torn ACL in Daisy’s left back leg: that included 10 sessions of rehab therapy. Darn squirrel. Go you, and Miss Blue! :):huggy:
