We need a deck built

We want to put a deck on the backside of the house. We just had someone come by and give an estimate. I almost fell over. $16,000. :faint:

Please give me some recommendations on who we can check with...especially Amish (if you know of any that do decks). TYVM!

Mine's not a builder. Thats why "I" built the deck. Went to Lowes, told them the size we wanted and they do a cad drawing. They calculate the lumber and supplies needed. Ours is low to the ground, so instead of a railing we have benches. Steps off of both ends as well as steps off the center.

If I try to build a deck, it'll look similar to this (picture attached).
