Not sure this is the right place for this but...from another forum.

Members have unearthed some astonishing news today. A longstanding member of the WebSleuths community apparently has a record for child molestation. And she’s not only a regular member, she’s been part of their admin team for a very long time.

Terry Anna Marie Cavitalo, AKA Terri Anna Marie Sholes Stipp, AKA WindChime on WebSleuths, was charged in 1992 with multiple counts of “lewd and lavicious” behavior in the “presence of child under 16.” Further investigation into related documents and charges detail her ex-husband’s role in these crimes, wherein he apparently raped a 6-year-old child. It is said that Terry/WindChime was one of two women who had sex with James Cavitalo in front of these children.

I was so shocked by this. Moreso because it was a woman. I know that is a sexist point of view but it's MY pov. I really liked her.

It is just the Internet and you don't know anyone until you live with them in the day-to-day and even that statement is iffy.

They are now moving to investigate ALL the mods there, every one of them, and I am sure this will cause other investigations of other sites as well. I think the site owner did the right thing by not trying to minimize the truth.

And you know, now that her name is out... so is all her criminal history and personal information along with her husband's record. All a person needs to find out everything about you is your name.... you don't have to be law enforcement these days to pull other people's court records, criminal or civil.

So true on the internet thing. Windy and I pm'd a lot about missing children, etc there. I swear to God, no clue here that she had any kind of past at all. She certainly never seemed the type and was/seemed VERY much a child advocate.

I am hesitant to post this because I sent Tricia and Ad here to somd.com for a business model...but I am a little pissed that we can NOT discuss it at all there. Period. It is great Tricia put it out there...but she only did so because it was all over the internet...other TC sites, etc imo.

A question for you though P... does LE get more info with their searches than us average people? I mean, like buying a background check, etc. Do they see things we can't? just curious.

In a sense, what can Tricia and Ad say? They screwed up and there is no defending that. And things like this draw instant corroboration and collaboration. It will be maintained and overplayed, if discussed, because it inflicts pain and humiliation on others. People are drawn to that drama and ever time WB's credibility comes up, words will be quoted from that and only used against them. I think NOT discussing it is the right thing!

And, as far as LE's information versus just somebody going out and searching themselves, I would have to say it just depends... depends what you are looking for. :shrug: A criminal record can show an offense that has been plead down to something way lessor than the original charge.... pulling the police report and/or statement of charges (which is public record) says a great deal and that maybe what *you* need to know to satisfy your reasons for wanting to know the information in the first place.

BUT....

They found a place to talk about it.
