Wed Evening Jumper Series- TONIGHT!!

Golden Venture Farm is hosting a Wed Evening Summer Jumper Series with Pizza for dinner.

Show starts at 6pm on the following dates:
June 16
June 30
July 14
July 28
Aug 11 - TBD
Aug 18 - TBD

Class List:
1. Puddle Jumpers 1B (18"-2')
2. Puddle Jumpers Power & Speed (18"-2')
3. Low Jumpers 1B (2'3"-2'6")
4. Low Jumpers Power & Speed (2'3"-2'6")
5. Mini Gambler's Choice- 50% payback to winner. (18"-2'6" - may not enter if jumping over 2'6" at this show)
6. Mini Three Bars (Starts at 18" - may not enter if jumping over 2'6" at this show)
7. Schooling Jumpers 1B (2'9"]3')
8. Schooling Power & Speed (2'9"]3')
9. High Jumpers 1B (3']3'3")
10. High Jumpers Power & Speed (3']3'3")
11. Gambler's Choice- 50% payback to winner. (2'9"-3'3")
12. Three Bars (Starts at 2'9")

Sign up day of the show. $7 class - $10 Gamblers Choice (with 50% payback to winner)
Coggins required.
Dress: Helmets/Boots- Informal attire
Pizza $2 a slice. Bottled Water $1.
Stalls available on a first come first sever basis $20.
Water on site for horses.
NO DOGS!

Forgot to add that there will be payback money for the gamblers choice.

There will be some surprises on the course!!!! No worries, this will be a very friendly supporting schooling show. For some, this will be their first jumping show, and we will help - cheering, calling courses, etc!! :yahoo:Above all, this needs to be a FUN learning experience for all. Now for you more advanced riders- There WILL be some challenging elements to see WHO can really ride and if their horses JUMP! :evil:

Ring is groomed, jump course set, Courses designed, and most important..... Pizza ordered!!! Thanks to Pappa Johns (Brown Station rd.) for delivering out of their area for us and the kids!!!

Can't wait to see everyone tonight! ALL are welcome- even if just to come watch- but you must at least cheer LOL!!
I'll be there taking some photos, manning the PA (put on some grooves for everyone tonight in the background!), running around, and cheering for all of you that come!! :thewave:

It went VERY well!! We had 17 horse/rider comb total,and a nice full evening until dusk. Everyone seemed very pleased and said they would be back next time. We will see tomorrow!!

This is a reminder about the show tonight.

Weather looks perfect with high 80's for the day, clear forecast and promises to be cooler in low 80's by start of the show. The past shows have been wonderful and we appreciate your support!! We hope our economical schooling series will help Southern MD jumper riders gain more experience and exposure without the stress of larger scale, increasing priced weekend shows. Where else can you go out,get your horse off the farm, and show 3 classes for around $20 these days?? We want to bring back the TRUE schooling shows of the past that did not break the bank (as none of us can afford in these hard economic times), and offer a place one can learn, school, in a low pressure show setting all while having fun all at the same time.
We hope to see you all tonight!!

some additional important info:

1. Matt Langben will be judging to fill in for Cristi Collins tonight.

2. Ring is in PERFECT condition thanks to the much needed rain. No dust!! Weather forecast could not be better for showing tonight!!

3. New courses posted.

4. New rule addition to the gamblers choice: There must be one jump in between. You cannot jump the same jump over and over again!

5. If you do plan on coming and get this notice,if you could please let us know, for our pizza order we would greatly appreciate it. We hope to get a better estimate and not run out of Pizza!! Feel free to call 410-320-1722 or email me.

6. We now have LIGHTS in the ring if the show runs past dark!!! Thanks to my wonderful Electrician husband James!!!

7. Depending on interest and attendance we may have a "after show paddock party" with music/karaoke/bonfire with smores for all and of course PIZZA!! Let us know your interest.

8. ALL are welcome to attend.. either to show or simply to come spectate!! Please spread the word and come support the competitors!

9. If anyone has any complaints or suggestions,PLEASE LET US KNOW. This show is for you all, not us!! We will consider and offer to make any changes you all suggest to make this the best So.MD bast wed jumper series we can!

Last show is tonight!! Gonna be GREAT weather, and looks to be a decent turnout coming.

We may throw a little barn party with bonfire, smores, and dj/karaoke after to say thanks to those who supported us!!! PARTY IN THE PADDOCK!!!

Thanks to all that came!! It was a very sucsessful show last night, and we were just able to finish by dusk. There is some interest in the Aug 11 show, and we hope to make a decision by early next week as to if it is a go or not. So, letus know if you are interested!!

Interested! Sorry I couldn't make the others, but would love to come up Aug 11 if you have the show :howdy:

The show was great! My kids all had fun and hopefully learned something. So far I have 3 that want to show the 11th, still checking with others, trying to talk a couple kids from other stables into going too!

GVF, what's the plan for next Wednesday? I'd like to get a jumper show in soon and was thinking about SMHA this weekend, but would go to yours instead if you decide to have it :howdy:
