Try MARYS HOPE (St Marys City Area) or GREENWELL (Hollywood Area) or HISTORIC ST MARYS CITY.

Sotterly (in Hollywood) is nice too but they are VERY strict (since it is a historic landmark) and the water is quite a distance away (you can see it from the mansion, but not easy to get close to).

Greenwell has a beach, pier, rose garden, etc. By far the best "variety".

Marys Hope has an excellent staff.

They are all beautiful locations on the water.

My niece had a beautiful wedding at St. Mary's City last Saturday. They stood in front of the water-it was a great place!

Mary's Hope and Woodlawn are wonderful venues if you are looking for somewhere by the water! We've done pictures for weddings at both. Check out our website www.1lovephotography.com and we have a sample section dedicated to both. Hope this helps!!!

My wife and I got married at Woodlawn Farm, Bed and Breakfast which is down in Ridge. Woodlawn

It's a beautiful, historic place right on Calvert Creek where you can see the Chesapeake from the lawn. We were married out on the back lawn under a large Crepe Myrtle tree that made for a wonderful setting.
They also have a very large event field where a tent could be put of for the reception or depending on the size of the group, we had a nice dinner in the main house after the wedding. Most of the local catering outfits know and work with Woodlawn. The main house has two suites and there are 5 other cottage rooms available as well. We rented the entire property and our out-of-town guests stayed the night. The next morning, the owner, Jim came out and cooked everyone a fantastic homemade breakfast...as he does with all guests.
They have had weddings there with well over 100 attending, but I don't know their max.
Tell Jim that Craig said to call.

My daughter had her wedding reception at the new officer's club on base. Its a really nice place and the food was excellent.

Yep, Jefferson Patterson. Not nearly as expensive as any of the other places we looked for an outdoor wedding and ceremony and it is VERY beautiful. It books up really fast, though.

Mary's Hope on Church Cove is where my husband and I got married. Excellent staff and very accomodating. We had an outdoor ceremony and tent reception on the water for almost 200 people. It was fantastic.

The staff even helped us work around the weather, when an enormous storm and tornado warning came through and almost wiped out the tent 20 minutes prior. Can't say enough good things about them! They made our wedding day perfect!
