Bree just took over in November. I'd guess there will be some kinks to be worked out but, we're gonna be on her to keep doing what she's doing, trying to make it great and that is for selfish reasons!

I didn't really take it as a complaint, just sayin'...it's not like we were inside that much, so it's a non-issue.

Oh, that reminds me! Remember all the cats wandering their turf there? Even as cold as it was this weekend, we were out on the balcony and saw a cat poking around the shore line and it instantly reminded us of the Keys and y'alls place!

Well, he was a burly, happy feral kitty, digging up oysters, cracking them open at will and snapping the necks of seagulls at his leisure.

The cats are large in that area, sure they eat well at the resturant. Did you see 2 crazy baby coons playing in the road? I have passed them the last 3 evenings.

All Islanders are friendly. Next time you go there post it and hubby and I will come up for a drink.

Didn't see no babies frolicking or otherwise. Saw an adult whom had met their Waterloo up the road near Tall Timbers.

This was a pretty happy looking cat, despite the cold and wind. I didn't like to tell Gidget about it because then she'd be going, "See? SEE??? That could be me right now....but NOOOOOOOOO!!!"

I feel SO stupid... I didn't even realize that this place is in St. Mary's Co.


We've only lived here for a couple of years - obviously we haven't checked out this area yet.


but it really does sound like a nice getaway - I'm not sure I could convince hubby to spend money to stay somewhere that is 20 minutes from where we live. Maybe a night if the rooms were really nice, but I doubt it.

There's always a way to convince hubby, . My hubby & I have lived in Calvert for 2 yrs & really need to explore SMC more. The extent of time spent down there has been to shop & some short drives around some of the back roads once in a while. I'm sure there are great hidden places that we haven't found yet & lots to see.

When I lived on Long Island (NY), I used to spend most of my free time going for long drives with the top down on the Jeep & exploring new places. I spent tons of time in the many state parks just enjoying nature & the quiet, taking pictures. Sounds like SMC probably has more of that than Calvert does, I just have to find it!

We live on St. George Island and love going to Evans. Its not like we have many choices but we are glad to have such a nice place so close.

Bree is doing a great job there, New Years Eve was a great time.

The food is excellent and the people are great. I think they are going to have a Tiki bar outside during the summer?

Geneva was wonderful, and so was the bar manager who hooked me up with his phone charger. I can't live without my crackberry. Oh, and the guy who cooked my steak. He cooked a great steak and was very entertaining to talk to.

They should put one on the end of the wharf.
