Trying to plan a weekend getaway for bohman's 40th this October. We are on a TIGHT budget so want to drive somewhere but are having a hard time coming up with a destination. Somewhere with activities for grown ups (going to leave the kids with in-laws) Anyone have suggestions?

We went to Gettysburg last month. Close enough and spend what you want on the activities of your choice.

What do you all like to do? Frederick is a 3 hour drive and there are a lot of fun things to do, plus it's just a nice small city.

Not sure which gender is celebrating. If it's a woman, Peddler's Village is nice.

Not sure what you like to do, there is Rocky Gap Resort in Flintstone, MD. They have a nice beach, some restaurants and a casino. Also Charlestown, WV, Harpers Ferry, Bethany and Rehobeth Beach.

Easier to make suggestion if you can share a few thing you like to do. For example, 1) hotel, cabin, or tent? 2) beach or mountains, 3) shopping, golfing, hiking, tennis, touring, heart-shaped bathtubs? Gives us some guidelines. You've got all kinds of folks on here with all kinds of interests so someone has the ideal spot for you, they just need to know that's what you're looking for!
