Has anyone really lost weight on it? If so does anyone have the books and point system. Hubby and I are trying to eat healthier but i am the one who needs to lose the weight. I am back at the gym and cut a lot out of my diet. I am a no pill or shakes type of person. I just want to eat healthy and tasty foods.

My MIL lost 60 lbs doing WW and there are several people on here who've done well on it.

My girlfriend in Washington State has. She has lost to date this year 56 lbs. So yes, if you are strict with it and do what it says it does work. Also there are some restaurants that offer weight watchers meals, like Applebee's. Good Luck! :howdy:

I am so very blessed
They key is to wire your mouth shut immediately after losing the weight. :ohwell:
Wiring your mouth shut does work wonders for weight loss. I tried it for eight weeks [dental procedure gone bad]. As soon as the wires comes off, though, it's back to how it used to be. :blimpo:

I lost 23lbs. going to WW. I went to the meetings in Lusby. It is great motivation and helped me eat what I still wanted. The WW food they have is soooo good to.

....
WW worked for me two years ago. I've only gained back about 10 of what I orginally lost. It just taught me portion control basically. The weigh in motivation really helped me.

WW worked great for me when I actually did it right. Same as Cat says..after losing the weight I need to not go back to what I did. Now I am losing it again..and this time will get goal and stay there.

I do what is the old CORE program.

Does it cost a lot? I don't really want to do meeting because i don't have the time to do that. I figured if i followed the point system and worked out at the gym 5 days a week and a light exercise on weekends i would do great. I don't eat off regular plates. I use kids plates for a better portion control. I haven't gained weight really but i have maintain my weight. So that's a positive.

You could go online to weightwatchers.com. You can join online and will have use of the e-tools. They have a lot of helps there. When I started it was $39.95 per month to join online. You can also research different meeting times and locations. There might be one that would fit in your schedule.
Since last year I have lost over 40 pounds. Still have a ways to go.

Just put the fork down.

That little bit of advice won't cost you $30 a month either.:lmao:

Take a picture of yourself in a bikini, sports bra and shorts, print it out and hang it up on your closet door or bathroom mirror. There's some motivation for you.:yay:

Check out catabolic foods (google it) they help out a lot and stay away from "sports drinks" water, water, water when working out and "diet soda" is a myth.

How many times a day are you eating? Less is not necessarily better when you're trying to lose. I've lost all the "easy weight" (18 lbs) by doing an hour of walking, light jogging, biking, and stair stepper EVERY day. As far as diet, I've reduced my intake to 1300-1500 calories a day, and I eat 5 to 6 times a day, 3 small meals with snacks in between and nothing except water within 3 hours of going to bed.

You are absolutely right Catitude. Weight Watchers is wonderful as long as you go to the meetings for that discipline and support. I lost 60 lbs a few years ago, got my Lifetime membership (which is only lifetime if you keep the weight off). But like you say....wire your mouth shut afterwards because you WILL gain it all back and then some.

I have the worst eating habits. I never eat breakfast. Usually its 2 big meals everyday. The past 2 weeks i have changed everything. I still not into breakfast but im going to make myself eat it. I cut french fries out even though i oven bake them. They are my crack...lol! I have always drink a lot of water i put fresh lemon in it. I eat 2 salads a day now. One for lunch, one for dinner. I eat fruit with my lunch and a snack after dinner. I figure its a start. I really don't like red meat that much. I am a chicken breast type of person. I use a kids plate for portion control. Today will be day 4 at the gym. I feel a little better. I went to
Discovery Health.com and they had lots of healthy recipes for every kind of meal. Right now im 5'4 168 my goal is to be 130-140 by June 15th my B-day!

You've gotta eat breakfast! I wasn't a breakfast eater myself but after getting "religious" about it, I've found that I can't get going with out it.
Breakfast for me:
Bowl of Cheerios w skim milk, my multi vitamin, coffee (black 2 sugars)
or
Oatmeal
or
2 Egg white omelet w ham and feta cheese

morning snack (post workout)
Fiber One bar and a protein shake

Lunch
Salad and some fruit
or
Banana and Peanut butter sammich (Healthy choice PB)

snack
100 cal pack of almonds
or
fruit
or
Fiber One bar

Dinner (@ work)
PB and Banana
or
Cold cut sandwich (high fiber whole grain bread etc.)
I'll throw in some leftovers in a small container but still keep up with the fruits and veggies.

Late snack
Orange

Eating 2 big meals a day makes your body store the fat because of the "feast and famine" cycle it's going through. Remember to eat sensibly, don't jump on the scale everyday, and keep hitting the gym! Set your goals and keep pushing yourself to reach them.
